About
Built by an operator, for operators
LeakLedger is founded and run by Chase Reisner.
Chase Reisner
Founder & analyst
I started LeakLedger after running an ecommerce business on Shopify and repeatedly running into the same problem: the top-line numbers looked fine, but it was genuinely hard to see where the profit actually went. Discounts, refunds, fees, shipping, and the cost of goods all chip away at margin in places standard reporting doesn’t make obvious.
That operator’s frustration turned into a focus on financial analysis and profit visibility. LeakLedger is the result: a structured way to trace revenue down the Dollar Trail, reconcile it against payouts, and surface the leaks that quietly add up.
I keep the work honest about its limits. Some findings are verified against records; others are modeled from the costs a merchant provides — and I label which is which. I don’t promise a specific dollar amount recovered, because the truthful answer depends on what’s in your store and what you choose to act on.
How I work
A few principles I hold to
Evidence over assertion
Every finding is tied to data. Verified figures are confirmed against records; estimates are labeled as modeled.
Plain language
Findings are written to be understood and acted on, not to sound impressive.
No fabricated promises
No guaranteed savings, no invented client counts, no fake testimonials. The work speaks through its evidence.
Your data, your control
Minimum-necessary access you approve and can revoke, with no store changes during a standard audit. Your customers’ personal data stays out of scope.
Find out where your Shopify money went.
Request a profit audit and get a quantified, evidence-backed view of your store’s leaks — with the highest-impact fixes first.
